My story so far
Born on the 2nd July 1975 in Hanover Germany who's perents were in the British army and then moving back to the UK when I was about 2 years old. Settling down in Nantwich Cheshire I started school. School was hard for me learning was not my strong point but anyway I was joing the army as soon as I could. I joined the British army and went in the Royal Engineers and had a great few long years, deploying to Bosnia in 1996 was an eye opener for a young man and it troubled me some what. I ended up leaving the army in 2001 and this is were my love for carp fishing started. I had been as a kid a few times but nothing to write home about but being out the army gave me time to fish. I soon got the taste for it and settled on a few day ticket lakes and this is were I fished for a number of years. I then started working in close protection in Iraq and then in Afghanistan but in 2016 the Taliban decided to end my job for me by way of having my team blown up while in Kabul. I came home and after settling back down to the civvy way of life again I started my quest once again for carp fishing, this time in a big way. I joined a syndicate and got to know a few people who were in the spotlight in the fishing industry. My UK PB was around the 22lb mark and my European was 55lb from an earlier trip to France.
I was soon hitting some larger fish but to be honest I just loved catching, it did not bother me that much the size of the fish. I have since catched loads of 20's and even a 30 and I love fishing big open waters where I can fish alone and take my time. I left my syndicate to consentrate on some of the UKs public waters and hunted for ones that were hard to fish. Since then I have fished back out in france making some close friends and meeting new people. I am getting help from CCMoore Baits for my bait and I have a few tackle shops who have helped me out with sponsership products and to test.
2025 I am going to consentrate my efforts in Europe I plan to go back to France and try and get a 60 or even a 70lb carp would be nice. I plan to go to Belgium and to Spain and fish some of the public waters across there. So keep an eye out on my catch report. I will not be forgetting to fish in the UK either.
